Scratch a CD using any vinyl turntable and any record
Anaheim, CA (January 15, 2004): The new TASCAM TT-M1 gives DJs the CD player they've always dreamed of - the ability to control their CD player with any turntable. When connected to the new TASCAM DJ CD-X1500 or CD-X1700 CD Players, the TT-M1 allows DJs to scratch, pitch bend, back-spin and otherwise control their CDs like they were using vinyl. Since the TT-M1 uses any album to control playback, the DJ can even mix between CD and turntable sources during playback.
"TT-M1 stands for turntable magic, and that's just what it feels like," raves DJ Davey Dave, TASCAM DJ Product Specialist. "The TT-M1 makes CD playback feel exactly like vinyl, and lets me use my existing turntable controls, like the tempo slider, power off, and start/stop with scratching techniques I've perfected for years on my CD collection. I can even scratch using the slipmat to control my CDs!"
The TT-M1 retrofits to almost any existing turntable without replacing the tonearm and stylus, so you can still use the turntable to play back vinyl. It requires no special hookup, no computer and no specially-coded vinyl records to operate. It is compatible with all new TASCAM DJ CD Players.
