For the first time, TASCAM is offering schools, students, teachers and faculty members an economical way to get GigaStudio 3.0 Orchestra and Ensemble versions into their curriculum and educational labs.

"We wanted to make the upgrade package easy to purchase and we also wanted to offer competitive upgrades to users of other sampling software," explains Pete Snell, Sales and Marketing Manager for GigaStudio. "GS3 is the most realistic sampled instrument ever, and for those folks dabbling in others, we offer a smooth path to get into the professional tools. It's even easy to register your product - it's done from our web site when you get home, so you don't need to bring proof to the store with you."

"We've had a lot of phone call requests from schools to set up their labs with authentic-sounding orchestras. Schools are using these as audition pieces for young composers and conductors where schools to use Giga to gain the confidence of an orchestra to play their pieces. A lot of great music is being heard for the first time because GigaStudio makes it possible to hear an orchestral realization of a piece without spending thousands of dollars."
