TASCAM TEAMS WITH SANEWAVE

Product Engineering Company Co-Develops Computer Interface Solutions

Anaheim, CA (January 15, 2004): TASCAM, a leading manufacturer of audio/MIDI recording gear, last fall announced a co-development alliance with SaneWave, a product development company co-founded by digital audio guru Bob Tudor. With the passion to create more intelligent interface products for computer-based recording systems, the two groups delivered their first collaboration with the introduction of the IF-FW/DM FireWire Audio/MIDI interface card at the 2003 AES Show. With the introduction of the new US-2400 universal DAW controller at this year's Winter NAMM show, they've produced the first control surface that works in harmony with your mouse, monitor, and computer, giving you the hardware controls you need, not the hardware controls that just duplicate the mouse and get in your way.

"This collaboration brings the audio industry the first truly plug & play universal DAW controller that works out of the box without complex computer software installation and configuration. Solving common installation problems will be a tremendous help to the historically complex task of setting up computer-based studios," states Jim Bailey, TASCAM Product Manager. "SaneWave's team brings years of audio product development experience to TASCAM and we're looking forward to a long-lasting relationship developing ground-breaking pro audio products together."

"It's great to be working with an innovative company like TASCAM," says Bob Tudor, President of SaneWave. "TASCAM is a true leader in home and professional audio with technology with breakthroughs like the cassette Portastudio and DA-88 digital multitrack. We look forward to rolling out our collaborative works throughout the coming years, and will maintain the quality, passion, and technology people have come to expect from Tascam and their development partners."

SaneWave, Inc.&rade; founded by Bob Tudor and Jason Jarvis, is a product development company specializing in audio technology. Their recent work includes the new Mackie dXb digital mixing console, and the recently announced FireWire interface card for TASCAM mixing systems. With an engineering team, including many of the minds behind award winning products like the Mackie d8b, HDR, Logic Control, and Mackie Control, they have the experience and the track record to bring next generation control surface and recording designs to the market.
