DR-10C Series
ULTRA-COMPACT AUDIO FIELD RECORDER
The DR-10C series is an audio recorder that can be set between a wireless microphone system’s microphone and the transmitter.
By simply connecting a microphone to a DR-10C series device, and then connecting to the transmitter using the included cable, audio can continue to be recorded even if the audio signal in the wireless system is interrupted.
* DR-10CH, AK-DR10CH, and AK-DR10CR have been discontinued. Only the 3.5mm jack plug type DR-10CS is currently available.
Designs that support the wireless mic systems of different manufacturers
The design supports the wireless microphone systems of several different manufacturers, with the lineup supporting Sennheiser and Shure wireless systems. In addition, Sony/RAMSA wireless microphone systems can also be supported by installing an optional replacement.
A light, compact size, weighting 63g that fits inside of your hand
The device fits in the palm of your hand, with a lightweight design that makes it easily bundled with a transmitter. It is wearable on a belt alongside a transmitter, creating options to match your environment. Furthermore, the DR-10C series can be used as a small, wearable recorder by combining it with a pin-mic and the DR-10C series.
Supports BWF files that include timestamp information
The recording format is set as 24bit/48kHz mono WAV (BWF format), designed for monaural recording for professional applications, including recording TV programs and stages, as well as lectures and seminars. The built-in clock function is capable of adding timestamp information to the audio file, making file search and editing tasks easier.
Various functions to prevent complications in setting recording-levels, including a dual-recording function
In terms of functionality, a sliding recording switch was employed to prevent misoperation. There are additional functions to support reliable recording, including: a function for disabling all operations beside stop during recording, and a dual-recording function that enables the recording level to be set as high as possible while simultaneously recording a backup track at a lower level.
The DR-10C is a series of micro linear PCM recorders that can be used for the audio recording of a wireless mic stem, as well as a standalone wearable recorder.
* DR-10CH, AK-DR10CH, and AK-DR10CR have been discontinued. Only the 3.5mm jack plug type DR-10CS is currently available.
Support for MP3 recording at both 128kbps and 192kbps
In addition to WAV (BWF) format files, recording and playback of MP3 files is now supported. This enables literally days of audio to be recorded on a single microSD card.
Level meters are now active during both recording and playback
Level meters were previously active only during input monitoring. With V2.00 they are live during recording and playback as well.
Level selection with dual recording function added
The dual recording function enables simultaneous creation of a backup "safety recording" at a lower level. Previously, this backup track was fixed at -6 dB lower than the main track. A new option of -12 dB now been added.
POLY file dual recording
POLY file mode can be used to record a mono sound source input as a stereo file. V2.00 also supports dual recording when in this mode.
Overall performance improvements
Overall performance has been enhanced, and microSD card writing/processing has been improved.
Use as a backup recorder connected between a wireless System mic and its transmitter
Connect the mic to recorder and use the included cable to connect it to the transmitter.
This setup is perfect for use as a backup recorder - assuring the capture of audio should the signal sent through the wireless system be interrupted.
Designs that support the wireless systems of several manufacturers
Standard models support Sennheiser and Shure wireless systems.
In addition, Sony/RAMSA and Shure systems can also be used by installing optional replacement panels with the required connectors.
Note: The Sony/RAMSA panel has a sliding switch to allow proper wiring configuration
Compact and lightweight
Moreover, it is designed to be carried like a single unit with the transmitter.
Included is a silicon band that can be used to attach it to the transmitter, and a durable belt clip - allowing several options for use depending on the situation.
Reliable system with independent signal circuitry for recording, and pass-thru from mic to transmitter
With this reliable design, if the battery dies and the unit stops, the transmission of the audio signal to the wireless system will not be affected.
Linear PCM recorder with high-quality audio
Designed to capture high-quality mono audio at 48kHz/24-bit.
Perfect for television, film and stage performances - as well as lectures and other professional recording applications
Pair the recorder with a lavalier mic for use as a compact, wearable linear PCM recorder
When not used with a wireless system, it is perfect as a stand-alone, compact wearable recorder.
Designed to provide reliable recording in the field - with attention to quick device setting and post production needs
Sliding record switch and hold function to prevent misoperation during recording
In addition, the hold function can prevent recording from being stopped by accidental contact with a button.
Multiple functions, including dual-recording for simultaneously creating a safety track at a lower level.
This unit has functions to prevent issues related to recording level settings - including a dual recording function that allows you to set the recording level as high as possible while simultaneously recording a backup track at a lower level.
In addition, this unit has an automatic gain control function that adjusts the input level to match the input volume. There is also a limiter function.
Before the battery charge runs out, automatic file closing prevents the loss of already recorded data
Even if the battery should run out unexpectantly, the unit will automatically close the file to prevent the loss of already recorded data before it shuts down.
Built-in clock function and support for BWF files (time information stored in metadata)
This feature is helpful for searching and editing recorded audio files
Playback function for checking recordings, and the headphone output enables input monitoring
You can also connect headphones to check recorded data right away, and to monitor the input during recording.
Settings can be transferred between multiple DR-10C units using the infrared transmission function
When using multiple units, you can copy the settings of one unit that has already been set to other units one after another.
