TASCAM, in collaboration with Nikon Corporation, is planning to announce the Nikon Kit CA-XLR2d-N—a new addition to the XLR microphone adapter lineup compatible with mirrorless cameras. This kit, which enables digital audio transmission via the digital accessory shoe of the mirrorless camera model ZR, was initially introduced by Nikon Corporation on September 10, 2025.
Further product details are scheduled to be released in early October 2025.
The CA-XLR2d is an XLR microphone adapter for mirrorless cameras, jointly developed in 2021 with Canon Inc., Fujifilm Corporation, and Nikon Corporation. Attaching the CA-XLR2d to a mirrorless camera expands XLR microphone input, enabling compact and flexible video audio recording.
The XLR/TRS inputs feature high-performance HDDA microphone preamps, delivering high sound quality, low noise, and a wide dynamic range.
Equipped with a high-performance AD converter, it enables direct transmission of lossless digital audio to the camera via the compatible accessory shoe. In addition to the existing Canon/Fujifilm kits, attaching it to the Nikon ZR enables digital audio transmission to the camera.
