Enables a meter bridge display directly on a PC screen
for Model 12, Model 16, and Model 24 recording mixers

TEAC Corporation, Tokyo, Japan - June 2025... TASCAM announces the latest version of the Model Mixer Settings Panel application and firmware for the Model 12, Model 16, and Model 24 recording mixers. This new updated software and firmware is available now for free download and enables a meter bridge display directly on a PC screen.

The new Model Mixer Settings Panel V2.20 introduces the addition of a METERS tab to the existing software that was originally made popular with the release of the Model 2400 and the Studio Bridge, both 24-track recorders and USB audio interfaces with MIDI. The new V2.20 software provides users of the Model 12, Model 16, and Model 24 recording mixers the addition of METERS to their software that they had long requested. This new update provides them with an enhanced way to monitor their channels by providing the benefit of visual feedback in addition to merely listening. The combination creates an environment more supportive of creative freedom.

With the Meter Select function offered by the new V2.20 software, users can select between CHANNEL INPUT, LIVE INPUT, PC RETURN, and MTR RETURN. This results in a wide array of metering options that users can take advantage of—no matter how they are using their Model Series mixer.

The new V2.20 software’s new PEAK HOLD functionality is equally noteworthy. Users can select between OFF, 1 SEC, 3 SEC, or INFINITE to change how long channel peaks are displayed across the meters, resulting in visual feedback that is beneficial for selecting one’s preferred PEAK HOLD setting. There is also a CLEAR function that enables the user to clear all the peak holds and start fresh.
