Along with our corporate culture to respect human safety and health under the nature working, we recognize that it is our mission to reduce the environmental load and contribute for realizing a sustainable society through our business activities, where we originally seek for the better recording and playback technology. As a member of the international community, we will continue to promote the activities for Sustainability through enhancing cooperation and collaboration with people in various fields.

Contributing to culture and industry

Premium Audio Business
Our premium audio products deliver the original recordings made by artists in studios and live venues to listeners in the clearest possible quality. By providing products and services that are as compatible as possible with a variety of playback sources, from streaming to packaged media, we aim to contribute to the preservation and development of music culture and protect records of cultural value.

Contractor/Professional Audio Business
TASCAM support the world's sound-related industries, from systems that support recording and transmission at TV and radio stations, to recording systems in recording studios, audio equipment for concert halls, conference rooms, schools, commercial facilities, theaters, etc., to internet broadcasting and music production systems for musicians, etc. By developing products and services that meet the high demands of our users, we aim to protect the creative environment for the long term and contribute to the continuation of diverse music culture.

Data Recorder/Load cell & Trasducer Related Business
Our equipment is used to measure, record, analyze and diagnose physical signals in a wide range of industrial fields, including railways and automobiles, semiconductors, aerospace, power generation and construction, heavy machinery and construction machinery, universities and research institutes, etc. In addition to the high precision and high stability essential for accurate data collection, our equipment is multi-channel compatible and has the ability to withstand experiments in harsh environments, providing the solutions our customers need and contributing to the development of industry.

Medical Video Recording Equipment Business
Our medical imaging products, which record, edit and play back surgical, endoscopic and ultrasound diagnostic images, provide optimal solutions to meet the demands of the medical field, such as high-resolution recording, intuitive operation and efficient data management. We support patients and medical professionals, protect people's lives and health, and contribute to the succession of medical technology and the development of medicine.

In-flight entertainment Equipment Business
TEAC's in-flight entertainment devices provide digital content distribution solutions, including movies, music, e-books and online shopping, inside moving vehicles such as airplanes and ships, making air travel more enjoyable for people.

Solution Business
We provide high-quality and precise ICT solutions from implementation to operation and maintenance in a one-stop manner, covering a wide range of customers from enterprises to small and medium-sized businesses. We support our customer to achieve and grow their business goals and to become their best business partner. That is our way to contribute to the industry development through our customers.

Environment

In all of our business activities we carry out product design, development, manufacturing and servicing, with focus on the environmental aspects listed below:

  1. Product design considering the environment
    When designing and developing, work on product design considers environmental aspects such as reduced power consumption, saving resources, simplified recycling, extended life and proper package design etc.
  2. We ensure our products do not contain any restricted substances defined by the content of chemical substances management restriction enforced in every country in the world including the EU RoHS Directive and REACH Directive, together with our customers’ specific requirements. Each company in the TEAC Group uses a product content chemical management system and offers reliable content chemical substances information according to our customers’ requests.
  3. Reducing the amount of CO2 emission produced during business activities
    We measure and analyze the amount of CO2 emission produced during business activities throughout the TEAC Group, and work on the reduction of emission amounts in response to the prevention of Global warming.
  4. Reducing the amount of waste produced during business activities
    We continue to work on the reduction of waste due to manufacturing activities in TEAC manufacturing facilities.
  5. Compliance with related laws
    To promote these activities, we continue to observe related laws, restriction requirements and agreements with customers.

Social

We interact with societies to contribute to the broadening and deepening of cultural wealth. Our policy is to aim for sustainable growth in corporate value by becoming a brand that promises "quality" to all stakeholders, and we are working with the understanding that the driving force behind this is human resources.

  1. Strengthening the human resource foundation
    We recognize human capital as our most vital asset to realize our corporate philosophy and ensure the sustainability of our company. Aligning individual aspirations with our business strategy, we will strengthen the human resource foundation necessary for achieving our management goals and enhancing performance. For this purpose, we will introduce an e-learning system for all employees, provide career development training for staff, and offer leadership training for management to enhance organizational capabilities.
  2. Promoting work styles tailored to individual lifestyles
    Our company is committed to developing a work environment where all employees—regardless of age, gender, nationality, employment status, or disability—can fully demonstrate their abilities. To support diverse lifestyles, we have established flexible work arrangements such as flextime and telework. We also offer various leave and absence programs to help employees fulfill family responsibilities, including childcare and nursing care. In addition, we have introduced a special leave accumulation system that allows employees to take time off for personal health issues, caregiving, infertility treatment, child and nursing care, and social contribution activities.
  3. Promoting Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality
    In light of the current low ratio of female employees in our company, we have set a target to ensure that at least 20% of new hires will be women—exceeding the current ratio as of the end of March 2025. We will improve the overall ratio of female employees from a long-term perspective. Furthermore, we will increase the ratio of women in management positions to eventually match the overall female employee ratio, through focused cultivation and promotion initiatives.
  4. Collaboration with the Local Community
    We will support cultural and artistic activities mainly in our Tama-City, Tokyo, where our business may closely align with at the place our headquarters is located. We want to share joy and wealth and richness with the people in the local community.
  5. CSR Initiatives Across the Supply Chain
    We also promote Corporate Social Responsibility as one of the pillars of our management. In order to meet the demands of society in our business processes, which consist of development, production, sales and services, we will fulfill our responsibility to operate our business with due consideration for the stakeholders surrounding the company, under a management system based on ethical values, in all of our business activities.

Governance

Based on the fundamental understanding that "a company exists through collaboration with all stakeholders, including shareholders and local communities," the TEAC Group is working to improve and strengthen corporate governance and to develop management, executive, and auditing systems in order to not only comply with laws and regulations but also to continuously improve the corporate value of the entire group.
